I was wondering what you need to manage access to an online magazine microsite that is only available to employees and not the general public.

What do I need to do technically and how much (roughly) would this cost.

    Hi Daniel,

Well, this depends on the technical structure and architecture of your site, network, etc.  Some ways of doing this:

    • Federated authentication and security  (only your network-domain users will be able to authenticate and access the site)
    • Filter access and allow traffic from specific IP addresses only. (ie. the company users)
    • Use a Content/User management system to manage access.

    Do the above help?

    regards,

I'd agree with Denis. Varying degrees of 'strength' of security you can apply. Should cost very little indeed - more a question of time configuring things.

I thought this question is a joke.

Anyway if not then unfortunately I have nothing to add. Without specific details.

    Do you have intranet?
