    Well we certainly do have access to some Irish info.  They're not as much as available in England but there certainly is some data there.

    hi, Denis, managed to dig it out:

    • On 6 November 2003, it became illegal in Ireland to send unsolicited direct marketing emails or SMS messages to individuals without prior consent. Fines of up to €3,000 will be applicable per illegal email/SMS message sent.

    old info, but would love to see something to the contrary!

    Oh, that's what you meant.  Well there are opt-in lists and simple lists that can be used, each one with their own pros and cons.
