We have asked by a client who is about to set up a number of European country local websites (ie a site on xxxxxx.it, xxxxx.se)
He has his legal notices for the UK upto date (as far as you can on cookies) and has asked us what he should have for each of the European countries where the laws may differ.
Q1 - would it sufficient to translate the UK legal notices?
Q2 - is there an Internet source for guidance on what should be in each country?
Q3 - does anyone out there have specialism in this field to whom I could refer the client?
Cheap and simple is the preferred solution but no one wants to get sued.

Don't know for sure but we're just about to start working with Carole Hailey (see http://www.waterfrontsolicitors.com/about-us/partners) to get advice on similar issues. They seem good. I'm sure they could quickly advise you for free whether you need to take it seriously/pay more for further advice.
