Does anyone consider Trademarks an issue for naming an intranet?
I don't think its anything to worry about - but want to avoid any unnecessary time spent on legal issues!
Would be grateful for your thoughts - thanks!

We were once asked to set up a "YouTube" style page on an intranet for one of our clients. They wanted to change the name to YouClient_company_name and tweak the YouTube logo accordingly. We raised the question over trademarks and they discussed it with one of their lawyers who said it was not ok, citing trademark as an issue.

A trademark is a trademark everywhere. Also, don't assume that internal content will not leak outside.
