Im reading lots about optimised press releases and i really understand how they can be usefull.
Im just not sure where you submit them too? are there some sites more valuable than others? Are there certain ways to have more impact?
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Anonymous,
First off you need to look for any sites / groups relevant to your industry and post your PR there (if you can). For example if your into online marketing eConsultancy will let you post PR, as will IMRG (if you're a member).
Then to find where to submit simply search for "Online pr submission" and you'll be given a large choice!
To work out which ones you should be using, first think about why you're submitting the PR - is it:
for the links back to your site so it goes up the search engine rankings
so people find the press release and then come to your website
to build brand awareness (like normal PR)
This will all shape which solution you're looking for. As will budget, and which industry you're in.
When picking also make sure your links will still work post-submission!
Hope that helps

One thing to keep in mind is Google has been devalueing press release links quite a bit in the past year or so. Still a great way to get links, especially if some quality sites pick that news up.
