    Hi,

I need to set up a URL - say www.newconcept.com which will redirect to my website www.currentwebsite.com .  I'm not that techinical, but my web hosting company streamline provide this service as an Masked Alias/Forwarder - I've read a few blog saying you should avoid masking websites, is this true?

    Many thanks

    Becky

I think there are probably slightly different interpretations of 'masking' going on here. But, from what you say, what you need is 301 Redirect set up (see http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=93633) so that one URL redirects to the one you want it to and search engines will understand this (and users will just get "forwarded" on).
