    Hi there,

    We're all aware of the use of social media as a good tool for generating insight and engagement with customers, but i'm interested in anyone is aware of any discussion / papers / reports etc. about people doing more formalised, statistically significant, academic level research through social media - entry level would be recruitment to a survey, but are there any other ways it's been done at this level of rigor ?

    All thoughts, comments, feedback gratefully received.
