    I am looking to understand how other organisations drive quality and coherence of their web assets and what tools or systems are in place to hold an overview of these assets.

    We use our own internally made system for this.  I am not aware of any off the shelf solution which fits all types of needs.  Does that help at all?

    Did you mean quality in terms of consistent file naming, meta data, etc, of digital assets? ie so you can find the assets.
