The number of customer contacts indicating that they can't use our forms because of their security settings has increased.
I've seen a number of sites offering tutorial information on how to set their spam filters to allow pop-ups, however we would like to offer our forms in the parent window to ensure nothing is missed.
Would anybody know of any major websites that have built their forms like this? Or any articles on best practice to mitigate forms being blocked by spam filters?

Hi Clint, not sure that I understand, can you post a link to one of the forms in question? Why would you be loading forms into a popup in the first place?

http://www.racq.com.au/my_racq/subscriptions is a link that has two "subscribe" buttons that pop-up forms.
I am not sure of the original developer's rationale, I assume because the forms are on a different secure server designed a completely different interface for forms.I feel the forms should not be in the pop up format for usability sake & may take a look at Amazon or similar for best practice examples

Obviously not ideal.
Do you have control over secure.racq.com.au? Ideally, would would style this page with the same navgiation as the http site. However if this isn't possible, you could load this content into an iframe instead maybe? It's the the best accessibility option known to man, but fundamentally it's the same as a Securecode or Verified by Visa form, where you have to load form content in from a 3rd party.
What I would do is
1) get a cetrificate for www.racq.com.au ( I tried to see if you had one already, but if you do, it's not installed on the server ) - if you're loading a secure iframe, you should mix encryptions by having an insecure page.
Change the 2 buttons to links to:
https://www.racq.com.au/my_racq/subscriptions/travel_deals
https://www.racq.com.au/my_racq/subscriptions/eroad_ahead
then create these pages with the same header, footer and navgiation includes as the normal pages, but in the content, have an iframe that loads
https://secure.racq.com.au/ssl/tev2/engine.cfm?appid=newsletter_signup&newsletter_id=travel
https://secure.racq.com.au/ssl/apps/subscription/eroadahead/subscribe.aspx
respectively.
