Hello, I have heard mixed opinions as to the best marketing lead time to promote a webinar. I would like to know what is the common consensus amongst other fellow B2B Marketing professionals.

Hi Ricardo,
I would say that this probably differs depending on your target marker/audience and how the sector you are in works. For example we're normally looking 6-8 months ahead but then again that's specific to us. Having said that though there are caes where we look at 24 months ahead. It's all down to what exactly you are promoting and who your audience is, etc etc etc.
I know this is not very specific but I think that if you try to think like your customer does, you will find the answer yourself.
I would say 6-8 weeks, if you have delegates sign-up to login on the day you don't want it to be scheduled in their calendar so far in advance that they forget all about it and double book. An email reminder a week before and a quick phone call a couple of days before are useful to make sure you maximise attendance.

Econsultancy's free webinar about Trends in Digital Marketing for 2011 is available both as a PowerPoint presentation and broadcast. The 24-slide presentation includes information on joined-up marketing, organisational change, localisation ... plus much more.
