I'm looking to see if anyone can recommend some bulk email sending software, that we can use for campaigns on behalf of our clients.

    All thoughts welcome.

    Thanks

I highly recommend ION Technologies. The difference with their software is that it does not charge you on a per email basis. You can see their site at http://www.iontechnologies.com/ . You need to speak with Niall, he owns the company.

We'll happily set you up a demo account for you to test our solution.

We resell the award winning emaillabs solution and can offer very favourable terms.

Try Campaign Enterprise from http://www.arialsoftware.com/. No links other than we use it and have been mega impressed by simple linking to our SQL dB, and that we now send pretty focussed emails linked to purchase history/ customer status from our back office system. We have free emails, (except for a bit of design and our time) ......forget the pay per email of agencies they could never get to where we are now without masses of money. Not much contact with the company once you've bought the software, but then we haven't needed it.

Sign up for the newsletter on www.brightminds.co.uk and I'll send you a sample. I am interested though in how long folks think in-house solutions will be viable, we seem to be getting low unsubs but industry seems doom and gloom??

     Hope that's some use.

    Hi,

I have used Campaign Commander from EmailVision in the passed and found it very easy to use, has loads of functionality, plenty of reports, A/B testing and loads more. As they host the system there is no risk of your server falling over, so bulk emails are no problem and sent very quickly!

This is not expensive and the support from their tech team is excellent.

    Well recommended.

    Richard

... you ought to check out phplist (www.phplist.com) - it's opensource, free and feature packed. You might need internal capacity to support it (or source externally obviously) but it's widely used and has an active community.

I've found a very neat solution at Campaign Monitor, with very competitive pricing. I've used it for a couple of small campiagns already and all seems as it should.

They specialise in campaigns run by agencies and have reporting access that integrates well into your own site.

There are also no monthly fees so if you are dealing with a lot of one-offs or clients who won't sign up to a continuing service you aren't taking the brunt of the costs yourself.
