The Director of Software Development is to take responsibility for all software development. The position holder will be responsible for development of all new products as well as the maintenance and optimisation of the existing software. The role is responsible for in-house technology development as well as the procurement and management of outsourced projects and key technology suppliers. The position requires close inter-departmental co-operation with Business Development, Sales and Customer Support. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years senior experience in managing software development teams of more than 15-20 people. Ideally you will have a good degree in a science or engineering discipline with experience gained in the online B2B, B2C or internet ASP industries. Background in the following technologies would be an asset: LAMP, HTML/WML, and XML/XSL.
