E-marketing Essentials is my take on developments in digital marketing from the past month, plus useful tools and interesting articles.
Note:

1. UK Internet advertising expenditure research

The latest data on the UK Internet Advertising spend was published in late March 2007. Use this research to benchmark your investment in online media with other organisations in the UK. Find out the online advertising tactics which are most commonly used. But take care with

2. Statistics on mobile services and shortcode adoption in Europe

I tend to focus on web marketing in my blog, but just as a reminder of other digital media. This research shows statistics for consumer adoption of mobile phone services in the UK, US, France, Spain and Germany. It also shows how the response rates to short code campaigns can be high.

4. AB Testing case study - Skype

Improvements can be substantial - one approach featured increased sales by a fifth!

5. Online money saving mania?

I think the release of the Threshers Discount Voucher which "went viral" before Christmas is something of a tipping point in online shopping behaviour, because the buzz it created has made many more people aware of the opportunities for saving money if they don't buy direct from a retailer, but via an online intermediary.
This post looks at the way the Internet ecosystem has developed with the preponderance of sites to save money and describes the impact of the Threshers Voucher campaign and the most popular money saving sites.
