e-consultancy recently produced a report on the online price comparison market, but (unless I missed it!) it didn't include an analysis of uk financial price comparison sites (e.g confused, moneysupermarket, uswitch) etc. Anyone know where I can source data on market size, market share - basically how big and established the market is, growth projections, market shares etc?

    Hi Jonathan,

This information is very hard to come by unfortunately. We would have liked to have included profiles on the companies you mention in our Shopping Comparison Buyer's Guide but they declined to submit profiles.

It's obviously happy days for these companies if they can live without free publicity ;-)

I know a lot of merchants would like to see more transparency of information in this sector so we'll endeavour to get them on board for the next version.

Let me know if you find any data!

    Sorry I can't help.

There do seem to be a breed of price comparison sites produced by enthusiasts that do not appear to charge for clicks - one that springs to mind because I use it a lot is  www.interest-rates.org.uk that compares interest rates available to savers in the UK and overseas.  I think I have seen others....
