Google search not working on Google's own pages?

Out of curiosity (general economic downturn and credit crunch affecting large multinationals) I browsed around Google Jobs UK.

If you use the search box to search for 'London' you get a grand total of one job offering... tough times for all it seems.
Once you "Browse UK openings" you discover that there are a lot more jobs than then initial search results would indicate.

Having tried a variety of search terms and individual words from the various postings it seems that either the search is not working properly or searching in the wrong place (of the cms or database).
It's always interesting when a company's product doesn't seem to work properly on their own website or system...
If only I could remember the name of that 'new' search engine they keep 'banging on' about on Absolute Radio!
