Imagine for a moment you are a member of a small department in a largeorganisation. You sit in your comfy chair looking out of your office windowwondering why it is that no-one understands what the hell you guys do.
Being misunderstood is a burden some of us must bear in life, but beingmisunderstood in business is very damaging.
What I'm looking for is a simple step by step guide to developing a brand for adepartment within an organisation. The said department covers manyspecialist areas and the wider community don't really understand what we do.I want to change that and I'm guessing that a coherent, simple brand will bean effective starting point.
Trouble is, I'm not particularly knowledgeable in the mysteries of 'brand'and I need an 'idiots guide' to help me guide my thinking. I don't have alot of money and I don't have a lot of time (if only I had a pound for everytime I've said that!). Is there a good book you can recommend ? Have you got experience of this situation which would be useful ?
