After seven years of grafting away in this Internet world I have decided to run monthly seminars entitled: Internet Marketing Business Seminars
Catchy title, I'm sure you'll agree! Anyway, I've stated in my promo material that I'll kick off with the Top 10 Internet Marketing Tips.
Now I could simply write myself a list but then it would be my Top 10 marketing tips and possibly, ironically, fit with the rest of my presentation.
In the interests of ensuring I have the correct Top 10 tips it makes sense to ask a forum of Internet Marketing experts for your contribution.
If you could add your personal top 3 tips... I will then compile the list based on all the information and then post it for anyone to plagiarise... obviously it will only be current for about 30 seconds before the next widget or tla is invented.
Let's see if we can't get 10 people to contribute to this blog... come on, join in, yes YOU... there are no wrong answers! Enjoy... share your wisdom...
Great contributions chaps... don't want this to end up being simply about email...
Internet Marketing is about a ton of stuff... it's about seo, content that makes you do something, copy writing tips, it's about postal invitations that drive people to the internet... it's texting... it's radio... it's podcasting... video... bring it all on!!
Being a web copywriter you could consider my list to be a little bias, but here it is anyway:
SEO savvy content to ensure that the Googles of the cyber world rate your website as being "relevant" when chosen words and phrases are searched on.
Persuasive, focused content with a call to action on every page to get your audience to contact you or buy your products and services and let others know about how good you are. Waffle wastes words. It dilutes your keyword density from search engine optimisation perspective and it's a good way to bore your audience into leaving your website. Everything must be said in as few words as possible whilst retaining enough volume to interest your search engine audience. It's a fine balance.
Article creation & promotion (although you now must do much more of this manually or using spinning software to avoid the "duplicate content" filters) to gain volumes of one-way links to your website.
Personalise messages whenever reasonable – Personalise creative copy in Google Adwords don’t just run generic ads, personalise the content of e-mails to customer segments etc etc
Content is king – whatever you product/service, good well structured, usable content that is search engine friendly is crucial
Test, test and test some more – online is so measurable that only by testing and amending will you maximise your ROI

Not sure if this is still something you are after but here is my £2 wisdom on affiliate marketing 1) Choose the best product for your affiliate to promote 2) Establish tiered commission 3) Commissions and bonus should always be paid on time. 4) Let your affiliates use paid search even on branded terms
This 40+ slide presentation was recently delivered by Econsultancy’s Jake Hird and looks at the issues surrounding the integration of social media into wider marketing and business practices. The presentation covers the use of data, 'social CRM' and organisational structures in the context of social media.

Email Campaign
1. Database of contacts that have been vetted prior to any campaign
2. Clearly defined objectives
3. Clearly define message i.e. what are the key points you want to convey to your target group. Also make sure you have a cut off date

1.What does the audience want to hear (not what do you want to tell them)
2. Make it an email not a piece of direct mail copied into html
3. Look at the response stats and use them to improve your follow up email (you have got a follow up email haven't you?)
