Does anyone out there (particularly in the travel industry) have any data on latency?
How many sales come from visitors whose first click was within 2 weeks? A Month? Two months?
I have a figure here for the travel industry claiming that over 20% of sales occur over six weeks after the initial click, which seems massive. What are other people's experiences?

Unfortunately, I don't.
However perhaps looking at the difference in lead times between holiday companies like ThomasCook.com against the aggregators like travelsupermarket.com / hotels.com / expedia.com etc. Perhaps that will give you another view of the market-place to help build a business case for expansion / more budget etc.
