The Value of Social Media Report, produced by Econsultancy in association with Online Marketing Summit, looks at the extent of social media marketing being carried out by organizations, the tactics being used and the business objectives they are trying to impact through related activity. The 59-page report, also available as a presentation, is based on an online survey of more than 400 US client-side marketers and agency respondents in December 2009 and January 2010.

Information in hand, they can test concepts, placements, and deliveries within a campaign in multiple ways, and when the results come back, they can optimize the ad with the simple reallocation of a specific creative element.

But if you did not: Linkedin does not host events, though it does a pretty good job at promoting them. Apart from posting all around the groups and on your profile as well, you can use this tool: http://www.linkedin.com/opensocialInstallation/preview?_ch_panel_id=1&_applicationId=2000
