Company I work for owns 50+ domain names registered by different individuals in the company using different registrars. A mess.
I want to transfer the ones we are interested in keeping to a single registrar and thought that our host would be the natural choice. But I was quoted £40 pa per domain, which I think is excessive.
Can anyone recommend a registrar that is a) not as expensive and b) reliable?
Many thanks,
Lawrence

I'm always a bit sceptical about sites with such domains names but they're part of the PIPEX group. Looks good, thanks!

I’ve been buying domains since ’95 and can recommend one of the longest trading registrars; www.networksolutions.com – you will be hard pushed to find a cheaper and quality service.
Ensure you register your domain for at least 3 years or the search engines might assume you have created a temporary site for spamming and will rank it accordingly (badly). Networksolutions charge $24 per year if you register for 3 years and I'm sure it's even cheaper if you register lots.
If you want to go straight to the horse’s mouth to learn more about domain registrars then visit www.internic.com

Thanks for the recommendation, Paul.
Not sure about the idea that Google ranks badly domains that are registered for a short period of time. For a site I manage on the site I'm getting top positions even though my domain is registered only until October.
