We are about to come to the end of our current subscription to NewZapp who have been great and handle our email marketing but at £1200 a year it is looking to be pretty expensive. I am just wondering if anyone has another company that they could suggest where we pay a one off fee and simply buy the software to send out emails to our customers?
Many thanks

Hi Sally,
You will not find a reliable and robust email tool, with tracking for a low one-off fee like you describe. The low end systems which typically cost a few hundred dollars will have a number of issues including:
* No built in send engine - you will have to use your own SMTP server which I doubt your ISP will be happy about
* Bounce management will be appalling
* Click thru and open tracking will be clunky and unreliable
There are one-off licence solutions that don't have these issues but you will be looking at £5K plus. The other option will be for another ASP subscription service. If cost is your main issue you will find something cheaper from a States provider but that opens up a whole host of problems with getting support.

Thanks very much it is as I thought, I think for the time being we will continue with using someone like NewZapp until there is a better solution.
