I've never really paid much attention to the NMA Effectiveness Awards, but as we recently subscribed to the magazine and received and additional magazine in the post the other day, I thought I would have a look.
So, naturally I am interested to find out more about the winners.
My first stumbling block was not finding relevant links (in the magazine or the website), meaning that I had to do a search for every winner I was interested in. It didn't take me long to give up. A bit tedious in this day and age!
Secondly, I was not very impressed with the quality standards (accessibility, usability, compatibility, etc) of some of the winners. Surely it's a bit of a contradiction to win a award when some basic web standards and practices have not been adhered to?
Thirdly, reading white text on black background just makes my eyes sore: http://www.nmaawards.co.uk/.
