Have just started to market a software package targeting owners of vacation & holiday properties, 2nd homes, etc. in all english speaking countries. I know it can be done because I get such solicitations. How does one go about doing this or having it done.

Hello Gary,
A very broad question! and very generally speaking, you will need to know your target market first of all. You say they are owners of holiday homes. Have you segmented them? (i.e. divided that market into smaller categories in order to provide more customised marketing solutions), do you have a strategic marketing plan? have you researched the existing market as well as your competitors?
Again, in very broad terms, you need to have an updated databse of your potential customers and decide which marketing communications mix is the appropriate one to use.
I know it's a very general answer, but I hope it will provide you with some direction. If you need any more specific informaton, just ask. Shelly.

GaryFeigen,
It sounds as if you might benefit from joining an affiliate program as a merchant (since I presume you are owner or marketer or the software product). It is a very specialist market you need to aim for, so you may find existing streams of income and traffic already within the affiliate networks. Have a look at http://www.applied-web-marketing.com/affiliate-programs.htm
for more details.
Also, because your product is digital, have you considered setting up shop at Clickbank? Set-up costs and overheads are extremely low, and people who sell for Clickbank merchants are always hungry for new products.
