    Hi
we produce detailed online destination guides and are looking at running a series of regular competitions on our sites through which we can generate a revenue stream for responses.  What are our options and how can we go about it?

    Hi Mike,

What type of competitions do you have in mind?  If you give me more details, I may know of a DIY product that can help.

There is a DIY Online Sweepstakes tool that may be useful to you for selecting the winner (s) of your competition(s):
    http://www.ennect.com/Sweepstakes/index.asp

With the above sweepstakes tool, you can randomly select contest winners from your pool of participants. It lets you upload images of logos, potential site designs, layouts, etc. Then participants vote for their favorite, and tell you why they like it.  You draw the winner of the sweepstakes and walk away with some valuable marketing research data.

Hope this info helps.  BTW, I work for the company that developed the technology behind the tool I mentioned, so I am somewhat biased.  It's the only DIY online sweepstakes tool that I know of.  Please check it out and draw  your own conclusions.

Depends on the type of competition.  We operate the UK's Service Excellence Awards which allow people to complete a comprehensive entry form.

Drop me a note if you want to know more.  david.jackson@clicktools.com

    Hi Mike

We have developed a channel independent content management system that allows you to use web, email, SMS etc etc channels in an integrated envirnoment - but all in your control.

This is already used for running SMS/Web intergrated competitions (incoming and outgoing SMS) which allow tracking individuals between TXT and web etc.  Allows you direct control of chosing Code words, changing responses, developing interactive processes etc.

If you don't want to take control yourself either we can run them for you or one of our partner companies can help. They are simple to run and generally managed by a person with no more thab clerical assistant or clerical officer skill set.

    Regards

    Tony
