    Hi there,

Would anyone be able to recommend a search engine friendly software solution that we can use for client projects. There are a few solutions that claim to be SEO friendly but we havn't had much joy with them to be honest.

Ideally we'd like both a mid-price and high end solution.

    Any thoughts or recommendations please?

check out Pinnacle Cart. Very SEO friendly and well priced, feature rich.
    Its open source also.

Not sure if I would use it for anything above a few thousand unique visitors a day though.

May I throw http://www.x-cart.com into the mix, haven't had occasion to use it yet, but have been looking at it's features/capabilities with interest.

Anyone have experience of using it?

    Hi Andrew,

Our partners behind our www.businessinberkshire.co.uk website, which is proving very popular with the search engines, have been working on their ecommerce module. (as they have with the whole site)

The version we are using is 3 years old, so they have developed on since and we are looking at the latest version for updating our site in early 2007.

Would be great to have a chat in realtime and discuss how we can help each other.

At Digivate (www.digivate.com) we have an excellent - though I say so myself - ecommerce engine that is SEO friendly.

See http://www.barratts.co.uk/p/43_402_0030/Allsorts.html for example. The page URL includes both the product code and product name.

Let me know if you want to know more.

    Hi Andrew

I just came across your post re: a search engine friendly software package. At Senokian (www.senokian.com/products/egs) we have developed a great e-commerce and CMS package called Enterprise Groupware System (www.enterprisegroupwaresystem.org) and better still its Open Source Software and SEO friendly! If your still looking feel free to contact us (details on site) and we can set up a virtual demo for you!

    Thanks

    Lucy
