Sporting Index signed Sticky Eyes circa a month ago, we reviewed at number of providers but Sticky Eyes had clearly research our business and had a number of ideas that set them apart from the other agencies we met. During implementation I have also found Sticky Eyes to be courteous and professional and completing all work on time. The SEO program launches in the next month and should make a dramatic difference to our business.

I have used www.weblinx.biz for the past 2 years and found them to be excellent throughout. I am on the top 5 for most of my search terms and especially my most competitive like "portugal Villas". My contact is a guy Called Darren Horsham who i have found to be very quick to respond to all my mails.
You dont get harrased to spend spend spend with extra products either which proves SEO is key.

Hi
I was wondering if anyone had had a good experience with any SEO agencies. I have been given some names - Spannerworks, Guava and Clickthrough Marketing but would be open to other companies too.
We're a publishing company with a large amount of keywords that need reviewing and potentially managing. I had a bad experience a few years ago and want to ensure that this time I get someone professional and commercial.

We worked with Barracuda Digital (http://www.barracuda-digital.co.uk/) when I was working with a FTSE 250 insurance provider. The Barracuda team added a great deal of value and were extremely proactive about driving best practice within our development team, on top of their tactical deliverables.
The team is knowledgable and highly credible; the Director, David Reilly, conducts SEO training for e-consultancy.
Whoever you select, make sure you're dedicating as much resource and time to your organic search campaigns as you are to your paid search marketing. With a significant portion of your traffic likely coming from search, you should avoid thinking of your SEO activity as an inexpensive "nice-to-have". Any good SEO consultancy will be able to track and measure SEO success with the same rigor as SEM marketers.
We have worked with many publishers and one of the most important SEO success factor for publishers is the Content Management System they use.
I agree with Justine that your sites should be SEO friendly and there needs to be an internal policy. For SEO, you might want someone to evaluate your current CMS and give you suggestions whether the CMS can be tweaked. If not, then change your CMS. There are quite a few open source CMS which can be tweaked and made SEO friendly. Your server platform will also play an important role in selecting a CMS.
The second most important SEO success factor (for publishers) is to train your Editors in basics of SEO. This will help them write SEO friendly content and Titles (which can then be reviewed by your SEO vendor).
As for Adwords management, whoever you select, make sure they understand your goals and can provide you with a project manager who is accessible and qualified to handle your campaign. Also ensure the vendor has a tool to monitor click fraud.
The answer to this can be found in your analytics if you
have set it up and understand the data that it produces. Unfortunately this
means there is no straight answer to this question other than “it is different for
every client”.
Check your analytics and if you still don’t know feel free
to drop me a line.
I too have looked at Backbone and received a quotation but was sceptical so didn't proceed.
I have seen that Roger Harrison of a comapny called Chandlery has recommended them, I am again sceptical becasue there does not seem to be any company like this. I wonder if this is Spam from Backbone?

Don't touch Backbone Solutions! We took them to court and won. Backbone Solutions claimed poverty and asked if they could pay in monthly instalments over a year. We said they could and they have paid 1 instalment over the last 7 months! If you miss a monthly payment to Backbone Solutions, all hell breaks loose. So now, equiped with my court order, I am going to take more drastic action and this time I don't have to worry about losing. :)
