Hi, I am new to this subject (Search) can any one tell me that what technology works behind shopping comparrison sites like Bizrate, Kelkoo. I want to know from where they get results in their webpage.

vendors pay comparison sites to list their products. Vendors send a feed (csv, xls, etc) of products to these aggregators, and (generally) pay the comparison engines a certain amount for each click through to the vendor's site. CPC (cost per click) is usually between about 20 & 40p, though this varies from sector to sector (eg. a click on a mortgage quote costs a lot more than a click on a toaster!).
the exception to this is froogle, where vendors list products for free.

Thanks for reply. It means that they ( Comparrison Sites ) pick up the results from their database itself whatever feeds have been send by vendors, but not like that they have access to vendors servers from which they pick up results. Can you assist me like referring any type Search Engine Software they use.
