Why not embed Google analytic just as good as any other program get while its free i say we use it for our company website www.smartphoneexperts.co.uk and it seems to track and record pages visited and records conversion pages and site goals quite useful and provides adequate information.

Hi, I would agree that you can find some simple information on your visitors and conversion rates but I don't think GA gives enough insight into user behaviour nor does it enable you to dig into more granular data, which ultimately is what enables you to understand who your users are and what they actually want from their journey on your website. This is the down fall of non-licence based tools unfortunately.

I would have to disagree on that. GA does very good job and provide very relevant information with regards to visitor behavior and even allows to segment that information.

Yes, this is true if you know what you're looking for and the data you're looking at. But ease of use as well as real time data are key to assess online activities and I think not a given when it comes to using GA. On the other hand, whereas you can segment the data, I'm not sure you can drill down very far and apply multiple segments.

It is VERY easy to segment data with GA. All you need to do is to set the relevant value ("members", "beta_testers", "over_50") to this: __utmSetVar and you are good to go.
I hope this helps.
