As a large US e-commerce company re-locating our EU marketing operation to Europe, we have exhausted all the usual avenues for a recent recruitment drive (job sites plus ads soon to appear on this site etc)
We are now looking to talk to Universities with courses that either focus on e-marketing or which have a very strong module that caters for this.
Can anyone help me with this plus also recommend some top-notch recruitment agencies for this sector?
I'm a recent graduate from Nottingham Uni... where I read "E-Commerce and Digital Business" for 3 years. In essence 70% computer science, 30% Business Studies. Friends from the course are now at Accenture, LBI (Wheel) and AKQA to name a few... if you would like some contact details of faculty members, feel free to drop me a line at robin.smith (at) auros.co.uk
Regards
Robin

I can sympathise with your situation. It's hard to find people with the right skill-set in this fledgling industry.
Good luck in finding the right people.

Hi Neil
That's an impressive list of job titles and companies.
At both Ellipsis Media (www.ellipsismedia.co.uk) and dotMailer (www.dotMailer.co.uk) we are always on the look out for bright young talent and can offer an exciting and challenging career.
Typically we are looking for web developers (ASP and ASP .NET preferred), creative web designers, account executives, and email marketing sales.
Please feel free to contact me if this is something that you can help with.
All the best

Econsultancy’s Selling Online: a How-to Guide for Small Businesses has been produced specifically with smaller business in mind. This 100+ page document, written by e-commerce consultant Trevor Ginn, contains information about best-practice implementation and management of an online retail website. It is a must-read for any small business serious about establishing itself in the e-commerce environment.
The State of Digital in MENA report, published by Econsultancy (and supported by ArabianBusiness.com), looks in detail at use of different traditional and online marketing channels in the Middle East and North Africa. The report also looks at how companies are using social media for marketing, how businesses are measuring marketing effectiveness and examines the barriers to digital marketing and e-commerce in the region.
