    One of our clients is asking if we can offer 24x7 support on an ad hoc basis a few times a year.  Whilst we can certainly deal with the occasional requirement for our developers to come in late and work a bit later, or even cover critical issues outside of normal hours, having someone on call at 3am in the morning is simply not realistic without dramatically changing our resource pool which is UK based.

    I believe companies like Netstore used to offer support & maintenance onbespoke application builds 24x7 which would require the agency training Netstore developers on the application, writing up manuals and handing over any support requirements for out of hours support to them.  Does anyone know of any companies which offer this type of service for Microsoft .NET / SQL / CMS solutions?

    Netstore could probably do it because they have their support teams working 24/7.   So I think you either need someone like them, or a company with offices in the UK as well as abroad but who can understand the UK-type of service and requirements.

    Now, I know of a couple of companies which I think do what you're after but I've never tried them to say whether they are good or not.  But contact me directly if you want and I can send you their details.

    Consider partnering with someone in my part of the world, New Zealand, to cover UK night time hours.

    I worked for a development company with offices in NZ and the US for many years.

    We could easily promise work requested at the end of a clients' day would be completed by the time they sat down at their desk the following morning... Indeed this aspect of our service was a prominent in our marketing/USP/sales pitch.

    There is no shortage of talented Web professionals/companies in this part of the world with plenty of experience of the UK market.
