B2B Marketing Partner

Hello, new to Econsultancy, great resource.

I represent a leading Industrial Supply company in Scotland, with turnover (revenue) of circa 20 million gbp. We have around 200 employees and focus mainly on the wholesale sector however we also have a small but growing retail customer base.

We have invested heavily in our core IT systems over the past 5 years in things like ERP, HR etc however have yet to invest similarly in CRM. We are not at the stage where we want to invest fully in a CRM package, hence our requirement for a marketing partner for things like catalogue, search-engine and event marketing.

In terms of our catalogue marketing, it is currently negligible. Our email volume today is almost zero and focused on our existing customer base which is in the low 5 figure region.

Specifically, I am looking at email marketing however, a provider who can offer additional services such as digital promotions, reporting etc would be best. Would we be looking at an agency or are there suppliers UK or US based that offer more than self-service that meets our B2B needs?

Thanks a lot Ashley for the link to the report and supplier directory. As you say, we need someone who we can grow with until the point where we feel we're ready for a major CRM solution.

To be honest, we're not at the stage where a full-time digital marketing manager would work for us. Thanks for the thought and hopefully one day we'll be in a position to do this.

After doing more research, there's actually very few players in the digital marketing space (excluding agencies) who can offer email marketing, surveys and publishing all on the one platform.

I guess it's a business opportunity if anything, especially on the b2b space.
