One agency versus several? Alan wanted "Tracking of campaign and end to end user experience".
Whilst many agencies can handle the web analytics side of that, that's not the case for specialist services like ours at SciVisum, measuring 24/7 the varying User Experience of slow downs/ sporadic errors that put off a random selection of visitors, anywhere between 1 and 10% - but are invisible to the analytics approach. *
None of the main agencies include what we offer (We're talking to a number of agencies, to include us as part of their overall portfolio - and our existing clients like Tesco and Premium Bonds are helping the agencies to see that there is a need out there).
But maybe in the fast changing eComm sector, it's harder to really find a one-size-fits-all partner than in slower-paced sectors - new things do keep coming along.
I guess the one-stop-shop versus best-of-breed debate will never go away :<)

* like the retail client bug, where 2 times in a hundred, no matter what you searched for on the site, it would wrongly respond with a 'nothing matches your query'. There were no outages; web analytics and tech monitoring said nothing because it was still a valid page... they were very pleased to reclaim 2% of lost sale journeys, as the tech team were able to fix it readily, once we'd proven it with hard evidence.

Managing Director at Kapito
02 April 2008 12:13pm
I agree entirely: there are simply too many disciplines involved. For our part, at Kapito, we are financial services specialists and we look first to a high-end conceptual approach before bringing in the sub-specialists who turn this into reality. You can see an example of this at www.mycash.ie which is a site just launched here in Ireland. There's also a webcast in the site.
As well as putting ourselves forward for the original subject of this thread, we're interested in partnering with UK creative agencies who wish to avail of the kind of specialist services we provide in order to fill out their offering to financial services clients. Anyone interested please get in touch.

Good evening
Based on the list you gave I cannot see why you cannot use just one agency, we perform the tasks you mentioned and a lot more for various companies including a very very large insurance agency.
If you would like to discuss this more in person or via email then please contact me at
We also can work we some 'preferred' specialist agencies if you do want to split the load between multiple people.
Hope to hear from you soon
