Hi, h as anyone out there done any of the above with their own Intranets recently?
Can you reccomend a good intranet agency? Just the audit initially, but could lead to a full scope design and build project.
Any agencies out there specialise in Intranets? We (large educational organisation) are very keen to audit our intranet , and would love to meet suitable agencies asap.
Look forward to your responses
Cheers

Hi Justin,
Yes, we're currently in the process of re-designing and building the intranet for a major mobile telecom network and have recently gone through the whole audit, requirements, specification and design process.
We look at all aspects of the sites use, audience and functionality, including future development and new opportunities for the platform. We've got a number of techniques for gleaning useful information from all your stakeholders which helps define the scope of the project.
We'd be interested in discussing how we could be of assistance.
Our contact details are available on our website: www.bplmarketing.com if you're interested in having a chat.
Good luck and kind regards,

We do real-time measurements of the varying user experience (speed, error rates etc) for both Intranet and Internet apps - and have provided KPI's for complex/multi-featured intranets at law firms, accountancy firms, finance sector etc.
We wouldn't cover the 'scope/design' side of things, but we'd tell you just how well the current 'build' was meeting user needs - by measuring a bunch of user-journeys to cover the 80/20 of what staff use the intranet for.
And we'd be able to advise based on hard evidence where/how to prioritise rework / speed-up efforts for the best bang for the user journey buck.

Justin,
I am a freelance digital comms consultancy and I have worked on several intranets, including setting one up in the not for profit sector which while not education had a significant educational arm. I would love to talk to you more about getting this project scoped and kicked off. It's great to hear you say you are starting with an audit, so many people rush in to "update" something, and lose the baby with the bathwater.
I also work with a couple of agencies so as the project progresses I would be able to recommend suppliers for you to consider.
If you would like to pick this up please email me at .
Cheers, Sarah

Hi Justin
We've worked with a number of eductational organisations on various applications, including Becta, NCSL, & DfES.
As we have a strong expertise in education & have carried out a range of audits for different systems before re-engineering them, then I'm sure it's worth us having a conversation.
