Hey Ashley - appreciate the vote. Made a very busy week at Content and Motion all the better.
Interestingly you have a real mix of services in there... Some PR (like us), others more Social biz consultancy driven. But I'll pass on the 'what's a Social Media Agency?' discussion : )
Like Will, Katy and others, just pleased as punch to be on your list alongside firms that I have a great deal of respect for.
Best, Roger

Does this list indicate which agencies are managing to grasp social media and which aren’t?”
Because surely the measure of if an agency ‘grasps’ social media is how successful their work for their clients is. Not by how well they use social media to ‘promote’ themselves.

Bit late on the thread here but(seeming as this is a very esteemed list of social media agencies it feels appropriate ;-)) we are looking for a speaker for our new FUNNEL initiative (www.funnel-marketing.com) on November 1st in London. See current agenda at http://econsultancy.com/uk/events/funnel/agenda
Needs to be B2B or 'considered purchase' B2B (i.e. long lead cycle) client-side speaker who is using SM to attract *quality* leads or using SM to nurture current prospects through to becoming more 'sales-ready leads'.
Any suggestions welcome (charlie.salter AT econsultancy.com)
Thanks alot
Charlie

Coming to this rather late :)
I may be biased (hey, I'm totally biased!) but I'm surprised my guys at Wolfstar - www.wolfstarconsultancy.com - didn't get a mention. We look after PR and social for a number of global brands such as Sony Ericsson, PayPal, first direct and Unilever.

Ah ah. www.viapoint.co.uk are much more than a social media agency. We focus on social media marketing but also social commerce in belief that today the two are now the same. So I guess that's why some folk don't view Viapoint as an agency. We are more of a Social Commerce consultancy and services provider that includes agency work as the basic starting point.
