We are collecting market research data from between 300 and 1000 DJs each month through competitions on an online social network.
I'm not an expert in MR, but it seems to be good quality MR to me:
It is a very targetted group
It is easy to enter once, difficult to enter several times or fake an identity.
We have created an atmosphere in the community where people enjoy thinking about a question and giving an honest answer.
We can gather a lot of data about an entrant from Youtube, without having to assk them a whole load of questions.
We used to give this information to the prize donors, but now we sell it to them, but I am finding it hard going, us not being a market research company, selling MR to someone who is looking for promotion, not MR.
So now we are thinking of selling the MR separately, and we are looking for a company who could work with us to do that.
