Hi,
I am looking for recommendations for server-based analytics software without adding anything to the code/content of the website. Something like Awstats.
any recommendations?
Thanks,

Hi there, it depends on what your budget is. You could go for something like Clicktracks, which just feeds in your web logs, and is quite cheap, or at the other end Tealeaf, which is insanely powerful but costs enough to bankrupt small countries.
Remember, if you're doing ecommerce, you'll need to have some code to pass the order value/contents to the analytics program, as Goal based tracking really isn't enough.
