Hi, I am looking at using banners to help increase sales for an online software store that sells all of the Microsoft/Adobe range. We want to attract both end-user and businesses.

I have spoken to DoubleClick, ValueClick & TradeDoubler and their solutions seem OK, but I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with these networks or if there are any other companies who offer a good service. Budget is around £2-4k a month.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi Anthony,

The choice you're about to make depends on your needs and therefore I think you should clarify if you need a simple bannerserving solution or if you're going to use search- and keywords or other targeting options, in order to optimize your revenue.  I recommend that you read the online ad serving buyers guide http://www.e-consultancy.com/publications/ad-serving-buyers-guide-2008/.

Personally I've used a very fine adserving provider EmediateAd http://www.emediate.dk. What I fancy the most is the availabilty forecasting and the executive summary for all your campaigns. I've also had good experience with the financial reports in order to monitor the sell-out ratio and average CPM's.

The support is also fantastic and swift!

    Hi,

to be honest the options are endless.  It all comes down to the details of what you need either in terms of support or functionality, etc.  There are solutions you can install internally and use and integrate yourself with ease. There are hosted solutions where you have zero maintenance. There are mixed solutions where you have a mix of hosted and internally hosted information.

If you let me know your exact requirements I will be happy to recommend something.  Oh..and we do not sell such solutions!  But can certainly help.

    regards,

    Denis
