We're currently with Rackspace but keep hearing how great/fast UKFast are.
Theres a "test the speed of your site" app on their homepage - www.ukfast.co.uk - which ranks pretty much any site you put in as average or slow - unless it's a UKFast hosted site.
Was wondering if their hosting really is "all that" or is it just a slick sales pitch?
Has anyone any experience / independent figures?

There are two independent testing bodies called Webcop http://www.webcop.co.uk/ and Webperf http://www.webperf.net/ who test the speed of a variety of different hosting providers in the UK. UKFast are listed on both - as Graphite Rack on Webperf and UKFast on Webcop.
Take a look for yourself but UKFast are typically rated as the fastest host on both of these resources (usually by a considerable margin).
