Job Description

Schuh is the leading fashion footwear player in the UK and has consistently delivered sales and profit growth in a challenging market. Our award-winning multi-channel offer is to the forefront of the market. Our Ecommerce business has doubled in the last two years, and following a successful 2011 (including the introduction of Check and Reserve, Live Chat and both an app and mobile site) we have exciting plans for the year ahead. Among other developments in 2012 we are targeting:
- Improved productivity, and increased use of, customer data
- Further development of our multi-channel capability and services to the customer
- International expansion through localised websites

For this newly-created position, we are looking for an exceptional individual to work with the Head of Ecommerce to deliver our ambitious plans for growth. It is expected that the successful candidate will take on increasing levels of day to day operational responsibility and will offer input at strategic level. The role will include line management responsibility for a team of 20+ Ecommerce specialists, comprising Digital Marketing, Sales and Merchandising, Web Editorial and Online Development teams. You will liaise closely with colleagues in IT, Marketing and Customer Services.

Senior-level experience in one or more of these areas will be a distinct advantage:
- A single view of the cross-channel shopper
- Advanced, relevant communication with customers to include segmentation of customer data and personalised messaging
- Rollout of international websites

You will be:
- Dynamic, with strong views on the future of retailing
- An ambitious achiever with a clear track record of success
- A passionate advocate of customer choice
- A suitable Schuh ambassador: you believe in our product range and the way we conduct our business
- A highly organised team player

In return we will offer a competitive remuneration package and the opportunity to join one of the UK’s most progressive retailers in a great working environment. A desire to live and work in central Scotland is essential.
