Job Description
The Alzheimer’s Society is the leading care and research charity for people with all forms of dementia, their families and carers.
Join us as Digital Fundraising Manager and you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing our New Media fundraising strategy. You’ll be our link between fundraising, direct marketing and new media with responsibility for our email marketing, search engine advertising and online fundraising project management.
Working with our Fundraising Management Team, you’ll offer advice and support on digital fundraising strategies whilst managing the development and execution of email marking campaigns including planning, writing engaging content, manipulating HTML and imagery for email. You’ll also be responsible for the project management of digital fundraising projects to make sure they arrive on budget and on time, whilst also identifying new fundraising opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
Educated to degree level, you’ll also possess project management certification in one of the formal project management methodologies such as SCRUM or Prince 2. You’ll need a thorough understanding of database and email marketing alongside knowledge of the latest relevant technology, internet usage and emerging trends.
With relevant experience in related online work – ideally in the third sector – you’ll have excellent writing and editing skills to produce professional fundraising materials that will engage your audience. The technical skills to back this up are essential, you’ll need proven understanding of HTML editing, Google Analytics, ppc Adwords, SEO and image editing in Photoshop. Technical skills alone are not enough, you’ll also need to be able to show great interpersonal skills to work effectively with your colleagues and external contacts but above all, a real commitment to the mission, values and goals of the Alzheimer's Society.
