Job Description

As a Senior Planner / Buyer, you will join the existing team and be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of assigned client accounts, with a focus on client retention and growth. Whilst direct client contact is limited, it is the role of the Senior Planner / Buyer to report into Client Services on performance, optimisation and future recommendations.

JOB OVERVIEW

To assess client briefs and identify which digital media channels are most appropriate. It is the Senior Planner / Buyers role to manage a campaign from start to completion. This includes selecting sites and placements that will fulfil client’s objectives, negotiate rates, book all media, traffic, optimise and report back on.

The ability to proactively build strong working relationships with internal and external contacts to deliver exemplary service at all times is essential to the role.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Campaign setup from planning, negotiating and buying to trafficking, reporting and optimising.
    * Ability to assess new opportunities and keep up to date with industry trends
    * Day-to-day management and optimisation of client's campaigns
    * Responsible for producing detailed analysis of regular and bespoke clients reports on campaign performance
    * Work alongside the Client Services and Insight research teams to provide clients with comprehensive support and consultancy
    * Support Media Department Head as well as to other Senior Planner / Buyers
    * Nurturing and development of Junior Planner / Buyers

Candidate Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

PREREQUISITE

    * 2+ years experience in Digital Planning and Buying
    * Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros
    * Working knowledge of tracking tools including DFA (Double Click) and Atlas
    * Good relationships with media owners
    * Ability to manage and nurture team members
    * Excellent analytical skills – Identify, describe, and explain trends in data
    * Numeracy – Competency with figures and calculations
    * Fluent and persuasive written & verbal skills
    * Attention to detail
    * Efficient time management and ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
    * Organisational skills
