Job Description
Heath Ceramics Ltd. is looking for an eCommerce Manager to manage the build, launch and upkeep of a new website for Heath Ceramics. This individual will work on the new website from start to finish, owning the functional specs, user-experience goals, as well as the execution of such. The ability to gain a strong understanding of Heath’s business objectives, brand and processes is critical to being successful in this position. Heath currently has one main office and manufacturing facility, 2 remote stores and a thriving eCommerce and gift registry business.
The eCommerce Manager reports to the company’s Marketing & Brand Lead. A strong
sense of teamwork is critical. While management and execution of Heath’s website and
related projects is the main component of the job, an understanding of eCommerce and
Internet technology and terminology are required - with gift registry experience a plus.
The eCommerce Manager has ownership of products, features, functionality and the
overall customer experience on the Heath website.
This is a newly-created position. This position will begin as a 6-month project role - with
future long-term employment considered thereafter.
Candidate Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build, launch and maintain a new website for Heath Ceramics.
• Post-launch, be accountable for understanding customer and business needs and
define the eCommerce product requirements to address them.
• Manage the RFP and interview process for external parties involved.
• Provide intelligent, actionable recommendations to management teams based on
key metrics and customer feedback.
• Collaborate and strategize with key internal players to understand the customer
and business needs, identify solutions and requirements to meet these goals and
communicate these to the external parties involved.
• Own the project scope, time line, deliverables - manage internal and external
teams to deliver against project milestones.
• Work with the technology team to define functionality requirements, technical
spec, new products and features for Heath’s website. Define the requirements and
user interaction for the online customer experience, specifically the eCommerce
component.
• Work with marketing to ensure a strong focus on the customer experience with
the goal of raising order value, traffic, customer loyalty, awareness, etc.
• Stay on top of new eCommerce abilities to expand marketing reach and increasing
customer loyalty

• A strong understanding of customer and business needs in the eCommerce direct
to consumer space, as well as knowledge of eCommerce technology and trends.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple online projects and products.
• Understanding of analytics systems, data reporting and eCommerce performance
tracking.
• Ability to write clearly and persuasively (your cover letter is your first
opportunity to prove this).
• Ability to work effectively in a small/medium-business atmosphere.
• Usability, customer-focused communication and retail experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-8 years experience working with consumer eCommerce businesses,
knowledge of platforms and trends are required.
• Minimum 3 years project and people management experience.
• A minimum of 18 years of humor and humility.
