Job Description
My client is a multi award-winning online retailer of entertainment products with a global customer base. Always a successful company, the last two years particularly has seen meteoric growth in the 100s of %.
They are seeking an eCommerce Manager to manage some new Web 2.0 and 3.0 offerings, both B2C and B2B.
Position
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for establishing and building brands and relationships across several different customer propositions within the group.
Crucial to this is the ability to create imaginative solutions in order to develop meaningful relationships between the businesses we run and customers.We want every business to have a story that people can share, an experience of excellent service and this role has a unique opportunity to shape this.
Key Responsibilities
Working with respective development teams (both offshore in Egypt and in-house) and Group Senior Management to take early stage start ups within the group to a more mature position. This may involve:
Business planning
Marketing communication & support
Detailed operations management
Usability and design excellence
Working with development teams and being able to comfortably brief work and review solutions
Initiative, responsibility and attention to detail
Utilising bleeding edge solutions in order to deliver more conceptual projects, but also taking a planned and considered approach where solutions required are more basic.
Candidate Requirements
Ideal Candidate
Preferable; e-commerce B2C experience, all round manager, with a flexible and focused approach.
International ecommerce experience ideally.
Willingness to travel (managing offshore development in Egypt)
Proven experience in a branded business environment.
Likely MBA graduate with a broad business experience.
A passion for problem solving and customer focus.
Experimental and creative this managerial role will effectively plan the delivery of their work alongside business requirements as well as having the confidence and experience to input their own ideas.
Flexible to cope with changing priorities within an agile development environment. Understands industry best practice and can reference accordingly. Able to understand and interpret analytics and use them to inform performance in conjunction with management team.Ability to delegate and manage work given to others.Strong business focus and sense of achievement. Self-motivation and ability to work in fast-paced environment.A willingness to break rules.
