Job Description

RS Components, part of Electrocomponents – a Global FTSE 250 business - supplies over 1.5 million technical and industrial professionals throughout the world. Worldwide an order is placed with us every 1.5 seconds - over 57,000 orders every day! Maintaining our success as a leading, worldwide, business-to-business distributor is an exciting challenge and one in which all our people have a part to play.

eCommerce is a key driver for Electrocomponents' strategy. Since the launch of our first UK trading site in 1998, we have led the exploitation of eCommerce opportunities within the B2B world. The eCommerce channel now accounts for £350M p.a. globally and is over 40% of group wide revenue with over 4million sessions from 1.5 million different customers each month.

In order to deliver the newly defined Group eCommerce strategy we are investing in a number of new roles to develop and accelerate the group’s journey towards an eCentric organisation

The job:
If you’re a marketing analytics professional who’s keen to learn and progress, you’ll find an outstanding opportunity to do both within our £multi-million business.

Your task is to provide our Online Marketing teams with analysis and insight, which will help them to continuously improve sales, and the margin and profitability of online programmes. It means working closely with the Insight manager and eCommerce Marketing teams to identify reporting requirements, as well as interpreting large volumes of complex marketing performance data.

Candidate Requirements

What we're looking for:
Experienced in marketing analytics, with a focus on your database skills. Ideally, you’ll have gained your expertise in an online marketing analytics environment or have a keen ambition to move into the online analytics space. You’ll certainly know how to handle large sets of data from multiple sources using statistical analysis and data manipulation tools (SPSS, Access, advanced Excel). With a relevant degree (or equivalent) and a real desire to advance with further professional qualifications, you’ll be a great addition to our team.

In return for your efforts, we offer a competitive salary, up to 25 days holiday, a generous pension scheme, excellent benefits and ongoing training. You’ll also be part of a £multi-million business – one that’s leading the market in electronic, electrical and industrial components distribution.
