Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Head of Commercial (Online Sales) to support the Head of E-Business working in the New Media department. This role is based at Yell’s Head Office in Reading working in the eChannel team. This is a new team that is being expanded to meet the needs of an emerging online sales and service channel for the business. This is an exciting new development, which is creating the foundations for a media rich e-commerce and e-care/service experience for our advertiser customers (B2B). This role is critical to the business strategy by developing a compelling (and award-winning) interface that will attract new customers, increase revenue and site usage allowing us to increase user advocacy.

The role holder will undertake the position of Head of Sales & Channel Manager joining the eChannel team. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant difference with a trusted brand that is undergoing wholesale transformation. You will have the freedom and support to define the channel roadmap and set in place innovative developments that create an excellent online purchasing channel for our customers. You will then lead the commercial team growth, as this channel plays an ever increasing role in the overall business sales model.

Candidate Requirements

The role requirements will involve significant e-commerce experience with transactional sites and experience of delivering acquisition and retention revenue targets.  You should be able to demonstrate multi-channel experience, including e.g. call centre as well as being very sales focused. 
Experience of defining and delivering revenue plans that target by customer segments will be essential as will be developing/launching and growing online products/categories with rapid timeframes.
