Job Description
The Bazaar Group is an online UK retailer specialising in soft furnishings, gaming, baby and pet products, and the winner of the 2009 North East Business Internet & ICT Award. The Bazaar Group has experienced strong growth over the last 12 months bucking the current economic trends; large growth is once again expected for the upcoming year. The company is looking for an experienced and talented in-house graphic designer to work alongside the marketing and product departments for their brands and websites.
The candidate will play a lead role in building the growth and brand development of the following online retail websites:

Responsibilities:
The Bazaar Group is looking to grow and would like to find a candidate that wants to grow with them. The key responsibilities of this role are to:

Design various creative elements to our business;
Branding
Front-end website design
Web graphics
HTML/CSS
Web & affiliate banners
E-newsletters
Flash animation
Print design (leaflets, catalogues etc) - Prepare product photography for websites using Photoshop
- Interpret & work to prepared briefs for any of the above elements
- To achieve and maintain brand objectives
- Work alongside and support the Digital Marketing Manager
- Liaise professionally & efficiently with our web programming company
- Working across the marketing mix you will be exposed to branding, direct marketing, email marketing, PR, advertising, catalogues, reports, and digital marketing
Candidate Requirements
Desired Attributes:
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified and experienced graphic designer with experience of web design.
- Approximately 2 years experience
- Educated to a relevant degree or HND level
- You will need to have plenty of web design experience with an understanding of principles and application of web accessibility, navigation and usability
- You should be confident working across a range of disciplines. Software skills should include; Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver and InDesign
- Digital photography skills desirable, in particular product photography
- Basic knowledge of print production & preparing creative for print
- Creative thinker with a practical approach & sound commercial understanding
- Close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills & experience in liaising with website programmers
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A good understanding of brand design
- Excellent listener with experience of interpreting a brief
- Ability to take initiative and bring creative and commercially viable ideas to the business
- A high standard of written and verbal communication skills are important
- You will have a portfolio that reflects your experience working on creative campaigns which could range from banners, micro sites, social networking to online advertising
- Passionate about all things online and digital, full of ideas and strategic creativity and ready for a challenge
