Junior Javascripter/Aspiring Web Analyst

The Role
The web analytics team is currently a small but expanding part of the whole agency. You will have a crucial role in providing technical expertise to a team of web analysts and website conversion optimisation specialists. You will instantly be an important and significant part of the team and get your hands dirty from day one. Your role will involve auditing and writing javascript and cookie based tracking to fix or improve tracking on our clients’ websites. Javascript experience is essential and a working knowledge of all of the below is very desirable:
- HTML
- Cookies
- jQuery
- Web analytics packages (predominantly Google Analytics)
Our clients range from everyday brand names to B2B SME and cover every type of site and platform imaginable. This makes the role very varied and provides huge scope for progressing knowledge and skills on the job. The role will comprise a degree of actual web analytics alongside the coding. If required, training will be provided and the applicant will be encouraged to develop their skills and acumen to become and top class analyst.
The Person
We are Google Analytics Certified Partners. Our special relationship with Google gets us access to many new features and products before anyone else. We also attend monthly webinars with the people at Google leading and driving the technical development of Google Analytics and other Google products.
The right type of person is someone who may have gotten a little bit excited by that last paragraph.
Google Analytics is our tool of choice and if you are not already well versed in this product, being a rapid learner is essential. As this industry is still a baby, innovation is constant and rapid and although we use Google Analytics for the bulk of our work, there is a long and constantly growing list of other technologies we employ to get the best results for clients.
If you are a highly motivated self-starter javascripter with a desire to get into the industry then this role could be for you. If you have all of the above and a genuine demonstrable interest in digital marketing and web analytics then you might just be the one.
Candidate Requirements
Academic qualification or direct experience with javascript.
