Job Description
The primary role is to grow new subscriptions and maximise retention for Euromoney magazine and other titles within the Euromoney magazine portfolio. This role reports to the Marketing and Subscriptions Business Manager and involves the management of all promotional activity & subscription costs.
In addition the Marketing Manager will be expected to implement the marketing plan to achieve forecasted subscriber growth. The successful candidate will manage one junior marketer.
Key areas of responsibility
· To pro-actively manage subscription sales through all online and offline channels.
· Continue to look to improve efficiency of spend by reducing mailing costs via creative, print or postage savings.
· Devise online and offline DM messages that drive response.
· Develop initiatives to increase subscription loyalty and retention.
· Analyse results from campaign results in order to improve future performance by using best lists and dropping the worst in order to improve ROI.
· To coordinate the distribution of the magazine at specialised events.
· Ensure the capture of market demographics through online and offline channels.
· Develop a marketing plan with the Marketing and Subscriptions Business Manager that aims to over-achieve the forecast.
· To produce an annual subscription business forecast including on revenue, cash and costs for generating and retaining all subscriptions.
· To provide monthly reports for board level Directors.
· Liaise with the publisher, Marketing and Subscriptions Business Manager, Web development team and editorial team on product development.
Candidate Requirements
3+ years marketing experience, ideally at least 1 year’s experience as a Marketing Manager and preferably within B2B subscription marketing
Print & online direct marketing experience essential.
Data segmentation – identifying the appropriate audience to target, ensure the right message is sent to the right message.
Supplier liaison – briefing designers, print & mailing houses.
Setting, monitoring and achieving annual marketing plans and spend
