Tesco.com are planning to significantly grow their Entertainments on line business (music, films, gaming) to match their market leading position in the stores sector. You will be working closely with the Commercial team and on line marketing channel teams to manage this expansion plan by creating and delivering a customer focussed trade plan.
They are looking for an analytical marketer with experience in the online Entertainments industry to help manage this high growth area of the business. The position will be based at their Head Office in Welwyn Garden City.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager responsibilities will include;
a) Managing the online marketing plan to drive sales to meet challenging targets.
b) Agreeing a promotional strategy for the online range with Ents commercial team; using sales data, email click/conversion data and web analytics to decide which promotions to feature where on the site and emails (report on content, plan and analyse).
c) Forecast sales that result from strategies, identify gaps and recommend contingency activity to fill gaps.
d) Identify cost-effective plans to generate awareness, drive fresh custom, prompt repeat purchase and boost purchase size.
e) Define key messages and strategise activity across communications channels such as email, PR, website, online advertising, above the line, store space.
f) Keeping your finger on the pulse; understanding how we stack up vs. competitors.
g) Use analysis, customer insight and market research to review all activity and implement learning in prospective activity.
h) Putting the consumer’s interests first you will also develop a comprehensive understanding of the brand and sector.
i) Measuring the contribution of marketing activity on both short and long term customers behaviour across our online Clothing business to drive future plans.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
a) 2:1 Degree.
b) Marketing / Trade planning experience at another online retailer.
c) Experience of liaising and influencing at all levels of management, both internally and externally. You should be a good ambassador for Tesco with excellent interpersonal skills.
