The job purpose of the Online Content Editor is: 

To write, edit and proof the content of internal web sites – Intranet, Corporate website, My Look Staff and the Staff Directory Microsite 
 
Accountabilities & Responsibilities 

Community Management 

  • Engage people in the community, both during the development phase and on an ongoing basis 
  • Nurture and grow conversations and community participation by facilitating discussions 
  • Establish and enforce respect of and adherence to community house rules 
  • Monitor and moderate all member postings 
  • Interact directly with members to create a positive environment and settle any disputes gracefully 

 
Content Management 

  • Gather relevant and interesting editorial content (text, video, podcasts, images etc) likely to stimulate community interest 
  • Create and manage competitions where appropriate 
  • Write and publish appropriate content to the community – blogs, representing personality and voice of the community 
  • Write and distribute community compelling email newsletters that entice community members to keep returning to the site 
  • Promote the use of the Intranet and My Look Staff across the business to increase the level of membership 
  • Actively mentor and support content editors / contributors working within business functions 
  • Manage the translation of content for international communities  

Delivery Management 

  • Organise the appointments of My Look Staff Representatives and once appointed organise regular meetings to discuss issues 
  • Regularly report progress against objectives - number of visitors to the site etc 

Project Management Support 

  • Support the delivery of other projects that support the growth of the online community
